Williamnagar Civil Hospital

Williamnagar the District Headquarter of East Garo Hills District of Meghalaya. The Williamnagar Civil Hospital is within the Urban Area of the District which can be reached on foot from the bus station.

The Mental Health Facility provided in this Hospital is OPD services to the Patients. Also the referral services given to the patient who were hospitalized in the hospital for the illness, other then that the Mental Illness subsequently develop Mental Illness. The patients with the Mental Illness can also be admitted who develop co-morbidly related with other discipline of medicines. Patients with Mental Illness without any co-morbidly can also be admitted which are not aggressive and who can be managed in this setup.

Bed Strength

There is no specific bed allotted for Mental Illness. When required any of the available bed can be utilized.

Manpower

There is lone Psychiatrist to look after the Mental Illness problem in the Hospital assisted by some Psychiatric Trained Nurses.
The District has not been incorporated in the fold of National Health Programme.
